As part of the Australian Sports Commission’s Sporting Schools program, Touch Football Australia works with primary and secondary schools across the country to deliver fun, inclusive and meaningful Touch Football experiences. Touch Football is Australia’s largest social sport, with more than 600,000 participants nationwide, and continues to be one of the most popular sports delivered in schools.
Touch Football is easy to learn and a game that anyone can play, regardless of age, gender, experience or ability. With a low risk of injury and a strong focus on teamwork and enjoyment, Touch Football provides students with a safe, healthy and social way to get active and build confidence.
First Trys is Touch Football Australia’s official Sporting Schools program, designed to introduce students to the game in a fun, inclusive and engaging way. With more than 40,000 participants nationally, First Trys is one of Touch Football Australia’s most successful participation programs, helping young people build skills, confidence and a lifelong connection to sport.
Schools can access funding through the Australian Sports Commission’s Sporting Schools program to support the delivery of Touch Football. Funding information includes application details, closing dates, eligibility, and available Touch Football Australia packages.
