Stay COVID-Safe - Current Restrictions on Competition As of 23rd November 2020

Thank you Victoria for the sacrifices you have made to get us here. Our community has continued to demonstrate resilience, optimism and the upmost support for our team with every hurdle 2020 has thrown at us.  We know our return will look a little different however we are thrilled that our members are free to get back on the field and officially tap off a summer of Touch Footy!


Touch Football training and competition is permitted under the following conditions:


  • Outdoor competition and training venues are subject to a 500 person patron limit, in groups no bigger than 50 patrons. 
    This limit does not include referees, volunteers/employees and those actively participating in a match. 
  • Only the minimum number of people required to allow the matches are permitted at the playing fields.
    Other spectators must stand a reasonable distance away from the field (not immediately next to the sideline/deadball lines)

  • Masks must be worn when indoors, and when in situations where social distancing is not possible. 
    Social distancing must be observed where possible. 

  • Indoor communal facilities (such as clubrooms) may be open at the discretion of the affiliate, and entry is subject to limits on patronage of 1 person per 4 square metres.

COVID-19 Return to Play Protocols and Guidelines

This serves as a roadmap for Touch Football Australia’s return to play following the COVID-19 pandemic. While specific timelines will vary from state to state, the following protocols and guidelines serve as a minimum baseline to be adhered to at all times for members of the Touch Football community.

Youth in Touch - A program designed for Youth, by Youth

Youth in Touch is a program for people aged 12 to 17 years old, designed to get them active and involved in physical activity through the sport of Touch Football. Youth in Touch can be run at any location, by any community group - including sporting clubs, youth groups, community centres, holiday programs. Click through for more information!

Switch - A program to promote Active Women and Girls

"Switch - Strengthening Women in Touch Football" is an entry point for women who are interested in playing Touch Football or simply looking to switch up their routine.
