Touch Football Australia has recently released a whole new education and development framework targeted at better supporting, developing, and nurturing our referees in the sport.
TFA has a four-level system in place for our Referees as they progress through our pathways. Becoming a qualified referee is a vital step to ensuring you are prepared to officiate a game of Touch Football at the local level. Once you are a qualified Affiliate Referee, you can engage in additional courses, workshops, and development modules to enhance your skills. For those seeking to officiate in tournaments, the Grading pathway is designed to progressively challenge referees as they officiate in higher and higher environments.
We understand that the new Framework is a significant shift in the way we do things. TFA, with the support of our State and Territory partners, has completed this FAQ list to support the transition. If you can’t see your answer there, please email education@touchfootball.com.au for further information.
Touch Football Australia has launched the next phase of its education and learning framework, transitioning to the NRL Learning Centre as its new learning management system. The NRL Learning Centre provides a more streamlined and connected experience for athletes, coaches, referees, administrators and volunteers nationwide - including integration of education with MySideline, creating a single, connected ecosystem for participation and learning.
