Bring the fun of Touch Football to your school in 2027! Applications for Term 1 Sporting Schools funding are now open, giving eligible schools across Australia the opportunity to get students active and involved in Touch Football.
Delivered through the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), Sporting Schools helps children develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of physical activity.
Applications close Friday 13 November 2026 at 5:00pm AEDT, so now is the time to get involved!
Why Choose Touch Football?
Touch Football is a fun, non-contact and inclusive sport that encourages students of all ages and abilities to get active, learn new skills and work together.
Through Touch Football Australia's First Try program, students can enjoy activities designed to develop:
- Fundamental skills: Catching, passing, coordination and agility.
- Teamwork: Communication, cooperation and problem-solving.
- Confidence: A welcoming, non-contact environment for all abilities.
- Healthy habits: Fun, engaging activities that encourage physical activity.
Programs can be tailored to suit each school's needs, with activities adapted to students' ages, abilities and learning pace.
How to Apply for Sporting Schools Funding
Applying is simple! Follow these steps:
- Visit the Sporting Schools website and log in or register your school.
- Complete your grant application for Term 1, 2027.
- Select Touch Football as one of your top three preferred sports.
- Submit your application before 5:00pm AEDT on Friday 13 November.
If your school receives funding and has selected Touch Football, our team will be notified and will contact you to discuss the next steps.
Schools aren't locked into their top three choices! If you decide to choose Touch Football later, simply contact our team directly to arrange your program.
Booking Your Touch Football Program
When booking, make sure to select your official state or territory Touch Football body, rather than a private provider, to ensure your program is delivered through our recognised network.
Our team will work with your school to coordinate suitable sessions, taking into account delivery staff availability, student needs and Sporting Schools grant requirements.
No Funding? No Worries!
Didn't receive a Sporting Schools grant? Your school can still get involved!
