The ACT Super Series is back for 2025! Following the success of the inaugural competition in 2024, four new men’s and four new women’s teams will battle it out to be the Super Series Champions.
Competition Structure
This year sees the continuation of the NRL theme with a men's and women's teams for the Pacific FM Roosters, TRC Constructions Storm, McReynolds Plumbing Sea Eagles and Boundless Building Warriors.
Men’s games will be at 6.50pm and Women’s games at 7.40pm each Thursday night at Deakin Playing Fields.
This year’s competition will start with a training session on Thursday 9 October, followed by games held on 16, 23, 30 October, and 6, 13, 20 November, and finals to be held on Friday 21 November.
Team Selection
Teams will be selected using a draft format to ensure there is an equal mix of talent, youth and experience across all teams. For newer or younger players, we will also make sure you have some friends in your team too. If you are a representative player, play Premier league in winter or summer, or just want to take that next step as a player and play with/against some the ACT’s best, then this competition is for you.
While we will try and cater for everyone who is interested in playing Super Series, we are limited to 56 players in each division. If more than 56 players nominate, the selection panel for each division will form teams and some players may miss out. If you are not selected, you will be placed in a fill in pool and may be called up to play for a team during the competition when they are short of players for a game.
For players who are only available for 3 or less games, we will offer the opportunity to join the fill in pool. This will mean you won’t be selected into a team but can be called up to any team that may be short on players for a game if you are available. Registration for this will be reduced and will be paid on a per game basis.
Cost
The cost to participate in Super Series, with 7 games guaranteed and a playing shirt for you to keep is $94 plus the national and the TFACT annual membership fee of $42 (if not already paid for the season). Please note that TFA have announced that there will be an increase in the national membership fee from 1st of September to $30. This will take all membership fees paid after this date to $50.
