February was a busy month for Touch Football, with several State Cups featured across the nation. With the annual Touch Football All Stars also lighting up the field in a blistering contest – it was a month to remember. Here’s a recap of the action from across the states.

 

NSWTA Junior State Cup (Southern Conference)

14 to 16 February

In its seventh year in Wagga, the NSWTA Junior State Cup (JSC) welcomed up to 10,000 attendees to its fields with 180 teams competing over three days. The Sharks were crowned Club Champions with an astounding points haul, represented in six finals and winning three of them.

Western Australia State Championships, presented by LiveLighter

14 to 16 February

The 2025 iteration of the WA State Championships saw Perth Brothers being crowned Champion Affiliate once again after being represented in three finals. The Men’s Open saw Perth Brothers spoil Northern Districts’ quest for a three-peat in the division, and Tompkins Park marked nine consecutive titles in a remarkable effort in the Mixed Open. Kwinana Titans also won their inaugural State Championship title, defeating Perth Brothers 5 tries to 4 in a drop-off.

Tasmania Junior and Senior State Cup

15 to 16 February

Held at Wentworth Park, Howrah from February 15 and 16 - the Tasmania Junior and Senior State Cups welcomed teams across fifteen divisions. Following two days of Touch Football action, congratulations to the winners in each division who claimed their respective championships, and to Southern Touch Association as Overall State Cup winners.

The Northern Conference for the NSWTA JSC returned to Dubbo at the Lady Cutler Sporting Precinct with 209 teams competing for a place in the JSC Finals to occur in March. Northern Beaches were named Club Champions, narrowly beating out Manly Touch.
