ACT Raiders Selection Policy Update

In preparation for the ACT Raiders Touch Football trials period, Touch Football ACT has reviewed, revised and released the ACT Raiders Touch Selection Policy – 2022.

This policy outlines the guidelines that will be in place for the selection of ACT Raiders Touch Squads and Teams that will be used as the starting point for the selection of all representative teams, thus ensuring the selection process is consistent across all levels (Senior and Junior). 

The aim of this policy is to ensure that selections are independent, fair, and transparent whilst ensuring all aspiring athletes are given a reasonable opportunity to demonstrate their skills and abilities.

The revised Policy includes the inclusion of Touch Football ACT appointing a Selection Panel, which will be led by the ACT State Manager in the capacity of Selection Chair. Equally the reaffirmation of Squads being selected, prior to tournament/event teams, thus providing an advanced pathway for our athletes. The Squads will train on a regular frequency, to be determined by the coaching team throughout the year, with the frequency increasing as major events approach.
