John Fielding

Awarded life membership in 2000.

John Fielding dedicated 15 years of service to the W. A Touch Association between 1980 and 1995. He along with Kieth-Harris Walker and the Henderson's helped establish Touch as a sport in WA. John served the association as a distinguished player (represented Australia as a player on the 1987 tour of the USA and Canada), Coach and WA Association President from 1990 to 1995 He was voted as MVP for the mens 35's division at the ATA Nationals in Darwin in 1990.

John also gave a lot of his time and energy developing the game at affiliate level. He served as a Tournament Coordinator with the Cottesloe Touch Association and was President of Bunbury Touch from 1985 to 1994. John as a President of the WA Touch Association was very supportive of Carnarvon Touch and helped establish Centrals Touch Association.

One of Johns greatest contributes to WA Touch was to re establish it's financial position in the early 1990's following a period of financial instability. Our current financial stability is partially related to the polices John established
