Touch Football Australia hosts the annual National Indigenous Touch Football Knockout.

Event Information

The event will cater for the following divisions:

  • Opens Mixed
  • 16 and Under Mixed
  • 13 and Under Mixed

 

Prize Pool: $9000

 

How to enter a team? Steps below:

 

Step One – Fill out the Expression of Interest (EOI) form. TFA will be in contact with team registrars and individuals once registrations are open.

 

Teams or individual players looking for a team, referees, volunteers, and vendors are encouraged to complete the EOI form.

Step Two – Organise your teammates. For your team to be accepted into the competition, you will need a minimum of ten (10) players registered online.

Step Three – Pay team registration online or via invoice.

Step Four – Have all players register into the team online via the unique link sent to the team registrar.

Step Five – Once you have at least ten (10) players registered and the team nomination fee is fully paid (online or via invoice), your team is confirmed into the competition.

 

Please note: Teams with less than ten (10) players will not be entered into the draw.

August 2025 - Team Online Registrations open

Friday 17th October 2025 - Team Registrations close and Payments Due

Friday 31st October 2025 - Final day for players and officials to complete their online registration

Event Eligibility

A maximum total number of players that can play for a team during one competition game is 14.

Teams must have a minimum of 70% Indigenous players per team.

Example of team makeup:

  • A team of 14 players is allowed maximum 4 non-Indigenous players.
  • A team of 13 players is allowed maximum of 3 non-Indigenous players.
  • A team of 12 players is allowed a maximum of 3 non-Indigenous players.
  • A team of 11 players is allowed a maximum of 3 non-Indigenous players.
  • A team of 10 players is allowed a maximum of 3 non-Indigenous players.

Note – The 70% minimum requirement is for the team/squad and does not apply to on field in game ratios.
