September brings a strong mix of school and representative events, including the return of the DoorDash National Youth Championships. With junior athletes and emerging talent taking centre stage, these events will provide opportunities for participants to compete, connect, and take their game to the next level. Here’s what’s on in September.
NSW Touch Football (NSWTF) All Schools Championships
2 September
Ranging across metro and regional locations throughout New South Wales, the NSWTF All Schools Championships provide students with the opportunity to participate in the under-15s pathway within the School Sport System.
Split across two age groups (Year 7/8 Boys and Girls, and Year 9/10 Boys and Girls), grand final winners from regional events (and runners-up in some regions) will proceed to the State Final in September, creating a wide and competitive event.
The All Schools State Final will take place on Wednesday, 2 September at Kingsway Playing Fields, Werrington.

Vawdon Cup Commences
4 September (Every Friday)
The Vawdon Cup is NSWTF’s premier affiliate competition for the Sydney Metropolitan area.
Conducted weekly from Friday, 4 September, the event hosts a range of divisions, from Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Open to Youth, Masters, and All Abilities, catering to all forms of Touch Football. The competition runs from September to October, building towards the grand finals on Sunday, 1 November.

DoorDash National Youth Championships (NYC)
28 September – 1 October
The NYC will once again return to Coffs Harbour and host Australia’s best young athletes in the nation’s premier junior championship event.
Featuring participants from under-12s to under-18s, last year’s edition delivered a spectacular showcase of Touch Football from the nation’s emerging talent, with Queensland Representative School Sport and NSW Combined Independent Schools victorious in the tightly contested Girls and Boys 18s grand finals, respectively.
