Summer Senior ACT Touch Football Competitions

Get your team together for a fast, fun, and social summer season.

Summer is the perfect time to get moving, reconnect with friends and enjoy team sport in a welcoming environment. Our summer touch football competitions are designed for players of all experience levels, from first timers looking for a fun run-around to regular players ready for a fresh season.

Touch football is one of Australia’s most popular social sports, known for being inclusive, fast-paced, and easy to pick up. Whether you are entering a workplace team, joining with friends, or signing up as an individual, summer touch is a great way to stay active while being part of a positive local sporting community.

 

Competition Details

Our senior summer competitions offer divisions to suit a range of players, including mixed, men’s, women’s as well as juniors! Games will be scheduled on summer evenings, making it easy to play after work or school and enjoy the longer daylight hours.

Game nights & Season dates (click on desired day): Monday | Wednesday | Thursday

• Round 1 begins the week of the 12^th of October.

Divisions:

Monday @ Southwell Park, Lyneham - 6pm Mixed, 6:50pm Men’s, 7:40pm Mixed

Wednesday @ Deakin Playing Fields, Deakin – 6pm Mixed, 6:50pm Men’s

Thursday @ Deakin Playing Fields, Deakin – 6pm Mixed, 6:50pm Women’s

 

Fees - IMPORTANT: Updated for this season

We have reintroduced team fees for this competition. All individual players are still required to register into your team through MySideline and pay the National & State fee. This is for insurance purposes and to align with our strict TFA Policy.

Team Registration - to be paid by your team contact:

• $1300 total Competition team fee due by 11:59pm on the 11^th of October (day before competitions begin).
• The team fee will increase to $1500 from the 12^th of October if not paid in full by above date. 
• Team nominations require a $300 upfront payment, which is included in the total team fee. This payment is non-refundable once the competition commences. 
• After you nominate your team, Touch Football ACT will be in contact with you to arrange the remaining payment.
• Teams that have not paid their team registration fee by 1^st of November will be removed from the competition until payment is received

Player Registration - into your team once nominated:

• $30 ACT State Fee & $30 National Fee. One-off payments for the period July 2026 – June 2027.
• All players must be registered before playing. Teams that field unregistered players will forfeit the match 5–0

 

Who Can Register?

The competitions are open to teams and individuals who want to enjoy organised sport in a friendly summer setting. Teams can be made up of friends, workmates, families, school groups or community clubs. If you do not have a team, you can register your interest, and we will help connect you with available playing opportunities where possible.

12 Year minimum age restriction for Senior Competitions. Please reach out to Brad Malone to apply for a dispensation if required.

• Search ‘Deakin Touch Seniors’ to find our Wed & Thurs competitions at Deakin
• Select your desired division for your team. FYI, please make sure you select one of our SUMMER competitions. Titles should say SUMMER 2026/27 – [day], [time], [division].
• Enter your details, create an NRL account if required, then create your team!
• Team managers will then be provided with a link to send out to all players
• No minimum number of players required for each team
• Team managers will be contacted by TFACT with further information to complete registration
