June is another busy month for Touch Football, particularly within school pathways. A host of representative events will give students the opportunity to compete and represent in the youth pathway on the east coast, before we head over to the west to welcome back the iconic Beach Touch event. Here’s what’s happening as we step into winter.

 

NSW Touch Football (NSWTF) All Schools Championships

2 – 25 June

Ranging across metro and regional locations throughout New South Wales, the NSWTF All Schools Championships provide students with the opportunity to participate in the under-15s pathway within the School Sport System.

Split across two age groups (Year 7/8 Boys and Girls, and Year 9/10 Boys and Girls), grand final winners from regional events (and runners-up in some regions) will proceed to the State Final in September, creating a wide and competitive event.

The upcoming 2026 dates and venues are:

  • 2 June – Sydney Metro East (Year 7/8)
  • 9 June – Sydney Metro East (Year 9/10)
  • 16 June – Sydney Metro West
  • 23 June – Orana
  • 25 June – North Western
  • 2 September – All Schools State Final

NSWTF Year 11/12 Mixed Challenge (Mid-North Coast)

10 June

The NSWTF Mixed Challenge allows for schools and students to participate in a representative event to match the under-18s pathway within the School Sport System and curriculum.

NSWTF will host three regional Mixed Challenges as standalone events across Wallsend (March), Earlwood (April), and Port Macquarie (June). The events are open to male and female students in years 11 and 12, with younger students in years 9 and 10 also allowed if numbers are required.

Queensland Representative School Sport Touch Football State Championships (16 to 18 Years)

11 June

Spread across three age groups, the Queensland Representative School Sport (QRSS) Touch Football State Championships brings together the state’s top school athletes to compete at an elite level.

The championships are hosted for 10 to 12, 13 to 15, and 16 to 18 age groups throughout June and August, with participants striving for representative honours and further pathway opportunities.

NSWTF Wallsend 3/4 Primary School Gala Day

24 June

NSWTF will be conducting carnivals for all Primary Schools in various areas of the State throughout school terms 3 and 4.

The free-to-enter carnivals are targeted to students in Years 3 through to 6 for both males and females, with some also catering for mixed divisions in these grades.

Beach Touch Footy Broome Edition

27 June

Touch Football is returning to the sandy fields of Broome in 2026. The ultimate sporting event gives participants the opportunity to escape the winter with Touch, music, and good vibes on the beautiful Cable Beach.

Beach Touch is played with six players per team in a mixed division with only four touches, offering a faster-paced format of the game. With cash prizes on offer, now is the time to register for one of the most exciting events on the Western Australian calendar.
