April brings a mix of junior pathway events and an international Touch Football tournament to the calendar. From the next generation of talent to the highly anticipated Asia Pacific Opens Touch Cup, April promises action-packed weekends and a chance to celebrate the sport at every level.

 

NSW Touch Football (NSWTF) Junior Regionals

18 – 19 April

Now held at the Tuggerah Regional Sporting Complex, the NSWTF Junior Regionals will see the state’s top junior talent from under-12s to under-18s compete over two exciting days.

Regional boys and girls teams will be selected from the Junior Regional Championships and the Junior State Cup, providing a strong pathway for the next generation of Touch Footballers.

Asia Pacific Opens Touch Cup (APOTC)

23 – 26 April

International Touch Football returns to Australian soil with the APOTC to be featured at Mudgee’s Glen Willow Regional Sports Complex in April.

The 2026 APOTC will feature Mixed, Women’s, and Men’s divisions, making it a pivotal event on the Touch Football calendar. The tournament is expected to attract around 500 players and officials from nations across the Asia Pacific and beyond, combining elite competition with cultural exchange.

NSWTF Year 11/12 Mixed Challenge (Sydney Metro)

23 April

The NSWTF Year 11/12 Mixed Challenge offers secondary school students the chance to compete in the under-18s pathway within the School Sport System.

Held as standalone events with no State Final, the challenge allows students from different school systems to compete against each other.

The 2026 dates and venues are:

  • 31 March – Hunter
  • 23 April – Sydney Metro
  • 12 May – Mid-North Coast

NSWTF All Schools Championships (Hunter)

29 – 30 April

Ranging across metro and regional locations throughout New South Wales, the NSWTF All Schools Championships provide students with the opportunity to participate in the under-15s pathway within the School Sport System.

Split across two age groups (Year 7/8 Boys and Girls, and Year 9/10 Boys and Girls), grand final winners from regional events (and runners-up in some regions) will proceed to the State Final in September, creating a wide and competitive event.

The 2026 dates and venues are:

  • 12 March – Central Western
  • 29 April – Hunter (Year 7/8)
  • 30 April – Hunter (Year 9/10)
  • 1 May – Central Coast
  • 5 May – Northern Rivers
  • 5 May – South Coast
  • 6 May – Mid-North Coast (Year 7/8)
  • 7 May – Mid-North Coast (Year 9/10)
  • 7 May – Riverina
  • 26 May – Sydney Metro West
  • 28 May – North Western
  • 2 June – Sydney Metro East (Year 7/8)
  • 9 June – Sydney Metro East (Year 9/10)
  • 23 June – Orana
  • 2 September – All Schools State Final
