Touch Football Australia (TFA) has today announced the next phase of its education and learning framework, confirming a transition to the NRL Learning Centre as its new learning management system (LMS).
The move to the NRL Learning Centre represents a significant step forward in modernising and integrating education delivery across Touch Football. The new platform will provide a more streamlined, scalable and connected experience for athletes, coaches, referees, administrators and volunteers nationwide.
A Modern, Integrated Learning Platform
The NRL Learning Centre will deliver a range of enhanced capabilities, including:
- Improved and more intuitive user experience
- Enhanced administrator functionality
- Greater system integration capability
- Enhanced reporting and insights
- Improved scalability to support future growth
A key benefit of the transition is the integration of education with MySideline, creating a single, connected ecosystem for participation and learning.
Simplified Education, Lower Costs
Under the new system:
- Education and learning will be delivered through an integrated platform linked with MySideline
- Course registration will follow the same process used to play, coach or referee
- Duplication will be reduced, improving data accuracy and administrative efficiency
Importantly, the transition to the NRL Learning Centre is a direct benefit of Touch Football Australia’s relationship with the NRL, enabling efficiencies that reduce delivery costs. These savings should be passed directly on to participants, making education courses more affordable across the Touch Football community.
Touch Football Australia Chief Executive Officer, Marcus Ashcroft, said the transition would deliver long-term benefits for the sport.
“The move to the NRL Learning Centre is a significant step forward in how we deliver education across Touch Football. By integrating learning with MySideline, we’re creating a more seamless experience for participants while strengthening our administrative and reporting capabilities at a national level.
"Just as importantly, this partnership with the NRL allows us to reduce costs and pass those savings directly on to our community, ensuring education remains accessible as the sport continues to grow.”
What’s Next
Further information, including access details and transition timelines, will be shared with the Touch Football community in due course.
Touch Football Australia looks forward to supporting members through this transition and continuing to enhance education pathways that strengthen the sport at all levels.
