ASC TFA Hero

Touch Football Australia (TFA) is proudly supported by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC).

The ASC is the Australian Government agency responsible for supporting and investing in sport at all levels. The ASC leads, supports, and provides opportunities for all communities to be involved in sport, while growing elite success and representation, inspiring future generations. Sport has a place for everyone and delivers results that make Australia proud.

As a funded national sporting organisation (NSO), TFA is committed to alignment with the ASC’s Play Well – Australia’s Sport Participation Strategy (Play Well Strategy).

The Play Well Strategy has been developed to create great sporting environments and experiences where individuals of all ages, backgrounds, genders, and abilities can come together to access the benefits of sport.

Its vision – ‘Everyone has a place in sport’ – is driven by six priority areas that TFA will support within its Implementation Plan through 2025-26: Empowering People and Organisations, Driving Lifelong Involvement, Activating Places and Spaces, Building Connections, Equitable Access, and Transforming Culture.

With more than $1 million in funding from the ASC, this significant investment will enable TFA to take a transformative step toward advancing the Play Well Strategy. The funding will help foster a connected, collaborative, and inclusive environment for Touch Football nationwide, while supporting the delivery, growth, and promotion of the sport.

TFA Chief Executive Officer, Marcus Ashcroft said:

This investment from the Australian Sports Commission will strengthen and support every level of our game across the country, allowing all Australians to enjoy Touch Football in a more meaningful way.

By supporting the Play Well Strategy, we will continue working to ensure everyone has a place in Touch Football – growing our sport, meeting the needs of our community, and fostering lifelong involvement through positive, enjoyable experiences.”

TFA recognises the investment provided by the Australian Government through the ASC, which makes these outcomes possible.
