Dear Championships Participants,

Touch Football Australia (TFA) is pleased to share some exciting news – all 20 fields at C.ex Coffs International Stadium are now available for play for The Championships this week! This fantastic outcome is thanks to the improving weather forecast and the tireless efforts of the Stadium team who have worked diligently to drain, aerate, and prepare the fields for competition.

TFA and Stadium staff will continue to monitor field conditions daily and we’ll provide updates as needed via our social channels to keep you informed in real-time. Please note that synthetic fields will no longer be used in the revised draw, but they remain on standby in case of further adverse weather.

A friendly reminder: no training is permitted on any grass surfaces at the venue before or during the event. Teams can use the synthetic or hockey fields for warm-ups and pre-game preparations.

Community Support Update

Following on from our message earlier in the week, TFA is committed to supporting those impacted ahead of The Championships in Coffs Harbour this week. In partnership with GIVIT, we are launching a donation-matching initiative to support flood-affected communities in NSW. TFA will match every dollar donated by Touch Football community members up to a total of $12,500 AUD.

Here’s how you can contribute:

Information about GIVIT:

  • GIVIT is a trusted donation management partner of state and local governments.
  • GIVIT is a registered charity with DGR status, so your donation over $2 is tax deductible.
  • You’re helping us to support people experiencing hardship with essential goods and services while allowing them to maintain their dignity, safety, and independence.
  • GIVIT’s 4,900+ partner charities around Australia work closely with people experiencing hardship to identify exactly what they need.

This is one of several ways we’re working to help the local community recover. We welcome any further ideas and feedback on how we can continue to support those in need.

We wish everyone safe travels to Coffs Harbour and can’t wait to tap off The Championships this Friday!

Warm regards,

Touch Football Australia
