TFA Generic Hero

As part of Touch Football Australia’s new Referee Education and Development Framework (Framework) we are pleased to release a Rugby League Referee RPL Program (Program). One of our key goals with the new Framework is to break down barriers to accessing our referee pathways and ensure that there are a variety of opportunities for our referee community to develop and achieve their personal best.

As part of TFA’s strategic partnership with the National Rugby League, TFA are pleased to offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to all accredited Rugby League referees who seek to join the touch football referee community. Referees who demonstrate that:

  1. They hold a current qualification in rugby league;
  2. Can demonstrate an active involvement in rugby league officiating; and
  3. Have held the qualification for longer than one (1) year.

will be able to submit a request for RPL to Affiliate Referee status through The Nest.

The process will be available through The Nest, at a cost of $10.00 +GST and TFA request the following information from the Referee:

  1. Document Upload: Certificate of their Rugby League referee accreditation/s
  2. Open Text: Information about their officiating experience and current involvement
  3. Open Text: Request their location, to connect them with a local Touch Football Association

Upon signoff, these referees will be encouraged to complete the Community Officiating Essential Skills course and Representative Referee Theory Course to progress through our Touch Football officiating pathways.
