
From international Touch Football action to the latest instalment of The Championships, the month of May is jam-packed with Touch Footy competition. Here are some of the key events to keep an eye on around the country this month.
Northern Territory Titles
2 – 4 May
The biggest annual event on the Northern Territory calendar, the NT Titles will see the best talent the territory has to offer, battle it out for bragging rights and championship glory. Traditionally held in Darwin, divisions are contested in Youth, Opens, and Masters age groups.

FIT Asia Pacific Youth Touch Cup
15 – 17 May
After a successful debut two years ago in Brisbane, the FIT Asia Pacific Youth Touch Cup (APYTC) returns in 2025. The best junior talent in the Asia Pacific region will converge on Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe to compete for international supremacy. Six division will be contested over the three-day event (18s Mixed, Girls, Boys, and 20s Mixed, Women's, Men's) with the Athelite Australian Emus looking to retain all six titles they won in 2023.

NSW Year 11/12 Mixed Challenge (Mid-North Coast Region)
20 May
The NSW Touch Football Mixed Challenge was introduced to provide students in these age groups the opportunity to participate in an event matching with the under 18s pathway within the School Sport System and Curriculum. The second of three regional events, Port Macquarie will be the hosts of the Mid-North Coast event.

North West Touch Carnival
30 May – 1 June
The North West Touch Carnival is an annual showcase of the best Touch Football talent in the North West of Australia. Teams from Karratha, Hedland, Exmouth, Tom Price, Geraldton, Broome and Newman traditionally come together to compete. Not just a a Touch Football tournament, the carnival is more than what happens on the field. The North West Carnival is a celebration of the spirit of Touch Football from teamwork and respect to sportsmanship.

The Championships
Originally set for March but delayed due to severe weather conditions, The Championships are set to tap off on May 30th in Coffs Harbour. Touch Football Australia’s premier national event, The Championships is back for another year, once again promising electrifying touch and incredible moments. Held at C.ex Coffs International Stadium teams from across the nation will venture to the beautiful Mid-North Coast of NSW to compete for national supremacy.

NSW Touch All Schools Carnivals
The NSW Touch All Schools Carnival provides opportunities for emerging Touch Football prospects to develop their skills within the school system. Schools and students from differing school systems now have the opportunity to compete against each other. Several carnivals will be held across the state over the upcoming Autumn and Winter months, with finals to be held in September. The following carnival will be held in May:
- Central Western: May 2, Waratah Sports Ground, Orange
- Northern Rivers: May 6, Saunders Oval, Ballina
- Mid-North Coast: May 8, Tuffins lane, Port Macquarie
- Hunter (Year 7/8): May 13, Upper Reserve, Wallsend
- Hunter (Year 9/10): 14 May, Upper Reserve, Wallsend
- North Western: May 15, Gipps Street Playing Fields, Tamworth
- Riverina: May 29, Jubilee Park, Wagga Wagga
