Headlined by the biggest edition of The Championships to date, an epic finale to this season's NSW Junior State Cup, March is set to deliver another thrilling month of Touch Footy action. Here are the key events to keep an eye out for.

 

NSW Junior State Cup Finals

2 March 

Following on from February’s Southern and Northern Conference events, the best of the best junior Touch Football Talent in NSW will make the trip to the Tempe Velodrome, to battle it out for state supremacy. The winners from each division will make the journey to Sydney to partake in a one-day best-of-3 series. The 2024 finals were an incredible spectacle with Penrith earning a dramatic comeback victory over Manly in Game 3 to take the 18s Girls title, while the Central Coast Dolphins defeated the Wagga Wagga Vipers in an epic series.

The Championships

6 – 8 March 

Touch Football Australia’s premier national event, The Championships is back for another year, once again promising electrifying touch and incredible moments. Held at C.ex Coffs International Stadium 172 teams from across the nation will venture to the beautiful Mid-North Coast of NSW to compete for national supremacy. The perfect blend of sport, music, food, and social experiences The Championships is expected to be the biggest edition of the event to date.

Cas Cup

21 – 22 March 

One of the most exciting Touch Football tournaments on the calendar, the Cas Cup is held annually in Casuarina with divisions for Opens Mixed, Social Mixed, Social Women’s, and Social Men’s contested. Since its inception in 2005, the annual March tournament brings together Touch Footballers from across the South East Queensland and New South Wales North Coast regions. Whether you’re an elite player looking to take the next step or are looking for a weekend getaway filled with fun and fitness, the Cas Cup has something for everyone.

Australia Pasifika Touch Cup 

22 – 23 March 

Following great success in 2023 and 2024, the Australia Pasifika Touch Cup is an emerging Touch Football competition that sees the best Australian-based Pacific and Indigenous talent showcase their skills. In an elite tournament, the best Touch Football athletes from Niue, Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Norfolk Islands, Māori, and Indigenous backgrounds will venture to Brisbane to battle it out.  

In 2024, Māori Touch claimed the Men’s Open title, while Indigenous Touch Football were crowned champs in the Women’s Open division.

Victoria Junior State Cup

29 - 30 March

The Victoria Junior State Cup is one of the state's most highly anticipated junior Touch Football events of the year, bringing together young athletes from across the state to compete at the highest level. The tournament provides a fantastic opportunity for players to showcase their skills, develop as athletes, and represent their clubs or schools in a competitive and supportive environment. Held over two days on the last weekend of March, the Bridges Recreation Reserve, Craigieburn will host all the action.
