Touch Football Australia (TFA), in partnership with Strategic Sponsor Destination NSW and City of Coffs Harbour, has confirmed that the 2025 DoorDash National Youth Championships (NYC) will be hosted at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, Coffs Harbour for the second consecutive year from Wednesday, 1 October to Saturday, 4 October.
Australia’s national junior championship Touch Football event, the NYC is one of two premier national events on the Touch Football calendar – alongside The Championships, for adult participants, hosted in March – attracting up to 7,000 attendees and contributing over $5m of economic benefit to the NSW and local economy.
With both events taking place in Coffs Harbour in 2025, the Mid-North Coast region continues to lay its claim to being the spiritual home of Touch, City of Coffs Harbour Mayor, Nikki Williams said.
“Our multi-ground sports precinct anchored by the C.ex Coffs International Stadium is a premier venue for mass participation national events such as the NYC,” Mayor Williams said.
“We also have all the moves off-field to enhance the NYC experience for players, officials, families, and fans. Coffs has a peerless outdoor environment from the lush rainforests through to pristine beaches, great shopping, cafes and restaurants, renowned tourist attractions, and the full range of accommodation options.”
TFA Interim Chief Executive Officer, Greg Denny welcomed the national event’s continued tenure in Coffs Harbour and thanked all parties for their support.
“It’s tremendous to remain in Coffs Harbour for our premier youth event and continue to showcase the talents of our nation’s best young players, and we look forward to returning to the Mid-North Coast this October,” Denny said.
“We are grateful for the continued support of Destination NSW and City of Coffs Harbour in delivering the NYC. The scale of the event continues to grow, and I’m delighted to welcome all players, families, and spectators to experience what the event has to offer.”
The event’s return to Coffs Harbour in 2024 coincided with NSW Combined Independent Schools (NSWCIS) winning their first-ever NYC title in the 18s Boys and NSW Combined High Schools (NSWHS) crowned champions in the 18s Girls for the first time since 2017.
The 2025 DoorDash National Youth Championships is being held at C.ex Coffs International Stadium in Coffs Harbour, NSW from Wednesday, October 1 to Saturday, October 4. Entry is free and all are welcome to attend.
Fans can watch the event exclusively live and free on Kayo Sports in Australia, Sky Sport in New Zealand, and Sky Sport Next in other global territories.
