Following a successful tour in 2024, where WA made a strong showing in Coffs Harbour, NSW, with 8 teams and earned runner-up medals in four divisions, TFWA are determined to build on this success in 2025.
TFWA is committed to the ongoing development of its State Representative teams, aiming for even better results across all divisions at The Championships 2025. With an eye on achieving higher honors, we are preparing to send teams in the following categories:
- Men's Open
- Women's Open
- Mixed Open
- Boy's 20s
- Girl's 20s
- Women's 27s
- Men's 30s
- Men's 40s
- Women's 40s
- Mixed Masters
- Men's 50s
- Men's 60s
Call for Coaches and Managers
Coaches and manager staff will be announced on Friday, 11th October. TFWA is still in need of additional coaching and management personnel for several of the potential traveling teams. Those interested in being considered for these roles are encouraged to contact Jeremy Wallace via email, providing details of relevant coaching experience and accreditations.
In a strategic move to ensure that the best talent is selected, TFWA has advised coaches and selectors of the Opens and 20s age division teams to utilize the first six rounds of the 2024 Super League Series as the trial period. These trials will run from 13th October to 27th October. Players wishing to be considered for selection are urged to participate actively during this period.
All Senior division teams will need to be confirmed by 1st November 2024. This allows enough time for uniform orders to be placed before the deadline, ensuring all teams are well-prepared for the championship.
