Headlined by the DoorDash National Youth Championships, there’s plenty of Touch Footy action to keep an eye out for this month ahead.
Defence Nationals
2 – 7 September
The Australian Defence Sport offers their members opportunities to participate in various sports including Touch Football. Through general participation, to representing your Service at a national level, the Defence Nationals helps determine teams selected for The Championships held in March. Members from across Australia will compete in Randwick, NSW with divisions on offer for Men’s and Women’s teams.

Sunshine Coast Primary All Schools
5 September
The Sunshine Coast Primary All School Championships is an opportunity for junior players in the region to develop their skills and learn more about the sport. A single-day event hosted by Glasshouse Touch, the competition is open to all schools in the region with divisions in boys, girls and mixed set to be contested.

Chinchilla Touch Fast 4s
6 – 7 September
Chinchilla Touch Fast 4s tournament was originally developed as a means of bringing the local community back together following COVID-19 restrictions. Now in its fifth year, the event has grown to become an annual highlight of the Chinchilla calendar. Alongside the Saturday tournament, a junior developmental clinic will be hosted on the Friday.

UniSport Nationals Touch Football
9 – 13 September
UniSport Nationals provide opportunities for students across Australia to compete head-to-head in several sporting competitions. This year’s event will be held in Canberra with over 6,000 participants expected to compete across 30 different sports. In 2024, Men’s. Women’s and Mixed competitions will be contested.

DoorDash National Youth Championships
25 – 28 September
For the first time since 2008, the DoorDash National Youth Championships will be held in Coffs Harbour NSW, as Australia’s best young Touch Footballers battle it out to be crowned national champion. A mix of school, regional and state teams, the event hosts eight divisions for boys and girls in U12, U14, U16 and 18s. The tournament has long been a nursery for elite sporting talent, providing the perfect platform for the next generation of Touch Football superstars to announce themselves to the world.
