Warren Smiles
First introduced to touch football in 1978 in Newcastle NSW, Warren Smiles initially used the sport to stay fit for Rugby League during the summer. After a dedicated 30-year involvement in Rugby League, he transitioned to touch football administration, joining Touch Football Australia (TFA) and Touch Football Western Australia (TFWA) in 2016 as State Manager. Warren has been recently awarded as Employee of the Year by TFA.
Warren is passionate about the community aspect of touch football, appreciating the inclusive and welcoming environment created by the many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals involved. He firmly believes that touch football is a game for everyone.
Jeremy Wallace
Jeremy has been part of Touch Football Australia for a total of 8 years, initially as a casual employee for 5 years and later as a full-time employee for 3 years. Currently serving as the Sport Operations Coordinator, he oversees High Performance, Indigenous Programs, All Abilities, Multicultural, and LGBTIQ+ initiatives.
Jeremy has an impressive 23-year history as a touch football player, representing his home club, Northern Districts. His highest achievement includes being an Alliance Men's Open Elite 8 Player. Remarkable highlights in his career include winning back-to-back Men's Open titles at the WA State Championships with Northern.
On a personal note, Jeremy is engaged to Caitlin and is a proud father to his son, Thomas. Their family is completed by two dogs, Loki and Odin, and a cat named Finn.
Tallas Williams
Tallas has dedicated 2.5 years to Touch Football Australia and Touch Football WA, focusing on enhancing junior participation and community engagement. He works diligently to create tailored experiences for young players, playing a key role in involving younger generations in the game and increasing overall engagement and participation.
With 15 years of experience playing touch football, Tallas is deeply committed to the sport. He proudly represents his home club, the ECU Jets.
Sara Rubinetti
Sara recently joined Touch Football WA as the Events & Competitions Coordinator. With over 5 years of experience in sports events, Sara has worked for the International Federation of Skateboarding in Europe and later moved to Australia, where she was involved in the FIFA Women’s World Cup and United Cup. Originally from Italy, Sara has a background as an athlete in basketball, a sport that she has played for 20 years.
Sara chose to join Touch Football Australia and Touch Football WA to continue her career in sports and event management, and to support the social and inclusive values that Touch Football promotes, as she firmly believes these are the core mission of sports in general.
