What's On In May Hero

The weather may be cooling down, but the Touch Footy action is heating up. Here are the key events happening across the country this month. 

 

NT Titles

2 May – 4 May 

The Touch Football Northern Territory Titles, is the territories' premier Touch event, held every May. 

Teams from across the Northern Territory will venture to TRL Stadium in Marrara for the annual championships. The Inferno Magpies will be looking to retain their championship in the Men's Open division following an epic Grand Final clash with the Darwin Crocs in 2023.

Touch of Colour

3 May 

Touch of Colour is an annual touch footy tournament, held in Sydney. Over 20 companies across the insurance industry will show off their colours and compete to raise money for KidsXpress.  

KidsXpress is a mental health charity, helping transform the lives of children impacted by adversity. They help provide trauma-informed Express Therapy for kids under 12, as well as education services for those who care for them.

NSW All Schools Carnivals

The NSWTA All Schools Carnival is designed to give students across different school systems the opportunity to compete against each other. Several carnivals will be held across the months of May and June, with the Western and New England Carnival's already occurring in March. 

Divisions are contested for Boys and Girls in Yr 7/8 and Yr 9/10 age groups. The winners of each regional event will be invited to attend the State Final at The Kingsway Playing Fields, Werrington in August. The following carnivals will be held throughout the month of May: 

  • Metro North Carnival: 6 – 7 May, Doyle Ground, North Parramatta 
  • Southern Carnival: 15 – 16 May, Jubilee Park, Wagga Wagga 
  • Mid-North Coast Carnival: 15 – 16 May, Tuffins Lane, Port Macquarie 
  • Far-North Coast Carnival: 22 – 23 May, Saunders Oval, Ballina 
  • North-West Carnival: 29 – 30 May, Gipps Street Playing Fields, Tamworth 
  • South Coast Carnival: 29 – 30 May, Surfside Sporting Complex, Batemans Bay
