NATIONAL YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS (NYC)

Competition dates 25^th – 28^th September 2024, Coffs Harbour NSW

 

STATEMENT

This is to inform of a change to the touring structure and arrangements for teams and those families, parents, guardians, and players that may be interested in being involved in the DoorDash National Youth Championship (NYC) program tour in September as per above dates.

 

Touch Football WA (TFWA), will no longer be booking flights, accommodation or travel for players who are part of the U/16 and U/18 squads going to the NYC Tournament.

 

This responsibility will solely be with the parents, guardians, and players.

 

TFWA will however, notify the flight schedules and accommodation venue where the TFWA staff and team management will stay. An option for parents, guardians, and players to book into the same venue will be available up to an advertised date at their own cost.

 

Arrangements amongst parents for players to be accompanied by a supervising parent on a 1:4 ratio can be discussed with the TFWA office.

 

Primarily the changes have been implemented in line with the Sport Integrity Australia’s Safeguarding of Children policies https://touchfootball.com.au/policies/integrity/safeguarding/

 

A player tour levy fee will be charged for uniforms, some meal costs and incidentals for the tour, all other costs will be the responsibility of the parents, guardians, and players.
