TFA Announces Host Location for 2024 DoorDash National Youth Championships

Touch Football Australia (TFA) together with Strategic Sponsors, Destination NSW and Coffs Harbour City Council today announced that the 2024 DoorDash National Youth Championships (NYC) will be held in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales (NSW).

The NYC is Australia's national championship event for junior Touch Football participants - attracting over 7,000 attendees and contributing over $5m of economic benefit to the NSW and local economy.

The Touch Football community is no stranger to Coffs Harbour with the location home to The Championships, Presented by Inferno (adult national championships) since 1997.

City of Coffs Harbour Mayor Cr Paul Amos said: "We're excited to extend our partnership with Touch Football Australia to secure the DoorDash National Youth Championships for C.ex Coffs International Stadium in addition to The Championships.

"Coffs Harbour and the stadium have secured a place as a top-choice destination for elite sporting events from right across the country. Touch and Coffs have a long and positive history and we're looking forward to welcoming the teams, fans and officials back to our amazing stadium and the Coffs Coast."

TFA Chief Executive Officer Jamie O'Connor thanked all parties for their support.

Coffs has long been the spiritual home of our senior championships, where some of the best players in the world have delivered so many great moments. We're delighted to bring NYC to Coffs and give our youth players the chance to follow in the footsteps of some of their idols." O'Connor said.

"The recent facility upgrades, accommodation options and accessibility make Coffs Harbour a terrific location for a tournament the size and scale of the NYC. It is an ideal place for families to come for the touch and stay to see all that the Mid North Coast has to offer."

The 2024 DoorDash National Youth Championships are being held from Wednesday 25^th to Saturday 28^th September 2024 at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, Coffs Harbour.

The event is being broadcast live and free on Kayo Sports in Australia, Sky Sport in New Zealand and Sky Sport Next internationally.
