Community Club Of The Year Website (1)

Touch Football Australia (TFA) is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2023 Community Club of the Year award presented by Red Rooster.

In their inaugural year, the Community Club of the Year awards recognise the outstanding contributions Touch Football clubs make in their local communities and profile the many unsung heroes in our sport.

Thirty-seven (37) clubs were nominated from throughout Australia and in a difficult task, eight were identified as individual State and Territory winners. State and Territory winners now become finalists for the national TFA Community Club of the Year Award.

Congratulations to the following clubs who are our state winners and national finalists:

TFA recognises the incredibly hard work and countless hours that take place in the community by our volunteers; individuals and clubs who make Touch Football one of the most inclusive and welcoming sports.” said Jamie O’Connor, TFA Chief Executive Officer.

Touch Football means so much to so many and has the ability to transform lives. Local affiliates (clubs) are the backbone of our sport and more often than not their local communities so it’s important that we recognise and reward the incredible work our people do across the country each and every day.”

I would like to acknowledge the wonderful support of our partners, Red Rooster, who like us are passionate about local communities and are rewarding our people through this initiative.”

The winner of the National Community Club of the Year will be announced live on Channel 7’s Sunrise program on Tuesday 26th September.

The winner will receive a prize pack valued at over $6,000 including a $5,000 cash prize, 25 x Steeden Footballs and equipment pack, two Powerade water coolers and video content package profiling their club across Kayo Sports.

State winners will each take home vouchers valued at $500 courtesy of Red Rooster.
