On Thursday, 7th September Touch Football WA in partnership with Stars Foundation held the annual Stars Foundation Touch Football Gala Day at Charles Riley Memorial Reserve.

Participating programs included: Balga, Butler, Cecil Andrews, Coodanup, Girrawheen, Kalgoorlie and Swan View. The girls enjoyed a morning of skill development followed by an afternoon of round robin.

After playing 5 games against the other programs we saw Cecil Andrews play Coodanup in our Grand Final with the reigning champs, Cecil Andrews, retaining the bragging rights for another year. Our "Brightest Star" player of the day award went to one of the new comers from Kalgoorlie, hopefully giving them some drive to come again next year.

Special thank you to Simon Nimmo and all other staff members that assisted with the organisation of the day, to North Beach Sea Eagles Rugby League Club for allowing us to use your fields and facilities, to our Sports Trainer Barry Nicholls and to our Field Officers Zac and Blake for officiating.

We look forward to the continued growth of this event, the inclusion of more programs and the opportunity to find our next Touch Football superstar amongst these girls.
