Call For 2024 Masters World Cup Players and Coaching Staff

Touch Football Australia (TFA) has opened the Expressions of Interest (EOI) process for players and coaching staff for the 2024 Touch World Cup.

PLAYERS

The Federation of International Touch (FIT) have announced that the 2024 Touch World Cup will be played in Nottingham, England from 15 – 21 July.

The EOI process for players is now open. These divisions are indicative at this stage, as they are yet to be finalised by FIT.

• Men’s 30s
• Men’s 35s
• Men’s 40s
• Men’s 45s
• Men’s 50s
• Men's 55s
• Senior Mixed 

If you would like the opportunity to represent your country at next year’s event, you are required to complete the EOI Survey by Sunday, 3 December 2023.

A selection camp will be held at Redlands Touch Association in Queensland on Saturday, 27 & Sunday, 28 January 2024. Players invited to attend the selection camp will be advised by mid-December.

COACHING STAFF

TFA has opened its EOI process and is calling for suitably qualified, currently accredited, and active coaches for Australia’s 2024 Masters World Cup teams. 

The EOI will close on Sunday, 30 July.

Applications are invited for head coach, assistant coach and team manager positions in each of the following age divisions. These divisions are indicative at this stage, as they are yet to be finalised by FIT.

• Men’s 40s
• Men’s 45s

• Men's 55s
• Senior Mixed

Interested parties will need to disclose their name, contact details, previous coaching experience and answer a few technical coaching questions.

Appointment Terms:

The appointment terms for these positions will be from the date of appointment in 2023 through to completion of all responsibilities after the 2024 Touch World Cup event. This campaign will involve attendance by the appointed coaching staff at all national selection and team training camps for the duration of the World Cup preparations.

TFA will be looking to finalise appointments by September to provide opportunity for coaches and assistant coaches attending any state cup events, to undertake some early TID, prior to the Masters selection camp which is planned for Saturday, 27 & Sunday, 28 January at Redlands Touch Association in Queensland.

Appointment Considerations:

The appointment processes within the HP Program places a large emphasis on interaction across the program with a focus on leadership and management. It takes into account the individual’s willingness to participate collaboratively, demonstration of their innovation within the coaching environment and their level of accountability and technical knowledge.
