State Western Australia (2)

Becoming a Field Officer is one of the most rewarding ways in which you can have a direct impact in giving opportunities for young people to play Touch Football. Schools apply for funding each term to have different sports delivered at their school during school lessons. Sporting Schools is a fully funded program by the Australia Government's and Touch Football has a First Try Program option for schools.

We have seen a large number of requests throughout the year for programs to be delivered of which we would like to recruit additional Field Officers. Training will be provided and see below some frequently asked questions about Field Officers.

What is a Touch Football Field Officer and what do they do?

A Touch Football WA Field Officer is a role that delivers a variety of School Clinics, ranging from Sporting Schools First Try clinics, all the way to the High School WACE programs.

What type of person is suited to the Field Officer positions?

With multiple Field Officer positions available, the role is great for University students or those working part time or casual. It is not limited to these categories though. If you are keen to assist in promoting the sport of Touch Football, we want to hear from you!

What qualifications does a Field Officer need?

To be a Field Officer you will need to have a current Working with Children Check and a relevant coaching accreditation. Both these accreditations can be completed with the help of your state Touch Football office.

Do Field Officers get paid?

Yes. Field Officers are paid a rate of $40/hour for coaching.

When are Field Officers required?

As schools request programs, Field Officers will be contacted in regards to their availability to deliver during the school Term and any school holiday programs as well as assisting in State based events.

Can Field Officers be allocated to specific schools?

We encourage Field Officers to promote Sporting Schools Packages to local schools. If a school requests a package based on that promotion, we are happy to offer that Field Officer the coaching position!
