This month we met with father of three and President of Busselton Touch Football Association, Brent Peterson.
Brent’s passion started as a six-year-old playing in Ballina, New South Wales in the off – season from Rugby League. He played with his brothers and friends throughout High School and up until he moved to Dunsborough in 2013.
In, 2020 he ignited his passion for Touch Football when he started playing for Busselton Touch Football Association. A year later in 2021, he joined their committee.
Brent and his two son’s play in the same mixed team and his youngest son plays in the junior competition at the Association.
Since becoming President in 2022, Brent has grown the Association and has built up their junior competition and referee programs.
Brent was also influential in initiating and coordinating teams from Busselton Touch Football Association to compete in the 2023 State Championships presented by LiveLighter.
Brent planned and organised the successful and fun Busselton Cash Competition that was held in April 2023.
