Touch Football Australia (TFA) is excited to announce a broadcast partnership with Sky NZ that will deliver over 250 hours of Australian Touch Football content to be enjoyed live and on demand throughout New Zealand.

Sky is New Zealand’s premier sports broadcaster who for over 30 years has helped grow sport, from grassroots to the elite, and fuelled a nation of passionate fans.

New Zealand is a key market for TFA representing the majority of the international fan base that consume Australian Touch Football content annually.

The announcement comes ahead of the 2023 Inferno National Touch League enabling kiwi-based fans the opportunity to watch the 4-day event from the comfort of their living rooms.

TFA GM Commercial, Tim Wyld said the partnership was another important advancement for the sport.

“New Zealand is our second biggest broadcast market and there is strong interest in Australian content, so we’re delighted to be able to cater to fans and family members via a professional platform in Sky,” Wyld said.

“The partnership is our first international broadcast agreement which will further increase the profile and commercial opportunities for the game.” he said.

Sky’s Head of Sport Partnerships, Adam Crothers, said “We are always looking to include sporting content to inspire and enthral sport lovers. New Zealanders excel at touch and we know fans will be keen to see the pace and action from a huge line up from TFA.”
