The ACT All Abilities Alliance had their first competitive run at the ACT Open Cup with spirited matches played against the Score Raiders and Score Dragons.
It was an absolute pleasure to host the Score teams with Touch Football ACT (TFACT) State Manager, Mike Inkster praising the efforts of all, particularly the Score Dragons support crew lead by Linzi DeSousa from the Illawarra Disability Trust, for making the journey over the ranges, so that the Dragons could participate at Gordon Playing fields.
Competition, although spirited, was fierce, with all teams displaying excellent skills, tremendous speed and an increasing awareness for the sport.
The ACT All Abilities volunteers have been doing a fantastic job coaching the squad and passing on the joy of being involved in a team sport. For many within the program, this is the first opportunity they’ve had to be involved in a sporting team.
The All Abilities, ACT Touch Raiders continue their journey towards an entry into the Inferno National Touch League in 2023.
