Touch Football is excited to have joined forces with the Karadi Aboriginal Corporation Tasmania and Deadly Choices to deliver the inaugural Deadly Choices Touch Football carnival and Community day in Hobart these July School holidays.

The day is open to all to attend but the Touch Football teams are limited to ages 12-18. The teams must have 10 members, 5 of whom must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. If you know anyone who might be interested in playing or getting a team together or would like some more information email the team at Deadly Choices deadlychoices@karadi.org.au

If any of our younger (12-18) Touch players are interested in joining a team, particularly any Aboriginal or Torres Strait islander kids, please reach out to the Deadly Choices team and they will help get you into a team. Call Hollie on 6272 3511 or email them on the address above.

As if the Touch Football wasn’t enough running alongside the Games will be an array of stallholders and activities for everyone to enjoy, including kids entertainment and a free sausage sizzle.

If all that wasn’t enough reason to get to Wentworth Park on 14th July then maybe this will get you up and about. There will be two Deadly Choices National ambassadors coming along. The ambassadors are well known Aboriginal sporting stars from Rugby League & Touch Football but you will have to come along to find out who they are.

Anyone from the Touch Football community who would like to get involved and assist on the day (referee, coach, etc) would be welcomed and should reach out to des.fogarty@touchfootball.com.au to offer their services.
