The 2022 NRL Harvey Norman All Stars will feature the return of the women’s and men’s Indigenous and Māori Touch Football teams.

The NRL has announced that the 2022 NRL Harvey Norman All Stars will be played at CommBank Stadium on Saturday, 12th February 2022 with Touch Football reintroduced to the schedule.

Touch Football was last included in the 2020 All Stars series held on the Gold Coast with the Māori All-Stars coming out on top. After leading 7-3 at half time the Māori team continued their domination until the end finishing with a convincing 12-8 victory.

The inclusion of Touch Football coincides with the launch of Touch Football Australia’s (TFA) first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) highlighting the history and importance of Indigenous people within the sport and outlining a path to closing the gap through education, health, and recognition.

It will be just the second time the NRL Harvey Norman All Stars fixture has been held in NSW, with Newcastle in 2017 being the only other occasion.

TFA is seeking Expressions of Interest for coaches who wish to represent and lead the Indigenous All Stars and the Māori All Stars teams. Expressions of Interest will close at 12pm (AEDT) on Friday, 10th December 2021. Teams will be selected following the announcement of coaches.

Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, 1st December, beginning with Parramatta Eels Members at 9am (AEDT), all other NRL Club Members at 9:30am (AEDT), NRL Account Holders at 10am (AEDT) and General Public at 2pm (AEDT).
