The 2021 Junior State Championships presented by Go For 2 & 5 were a huge success with a record number of 70 teams entered. This years event was held at UWA Sports Park in Mt Claremont on what turned out to be one of the hottest Saturday's we have experienced at this event in a long while. All participants were provided with plenty of water breaks and played games in quarters as per the Touch Football Australia heat policy.
The Under 8's & 10's played in their own designated area on mini fields which saw lots of fun and good sportsmanship. A big shout out to all the volunteer coaches, team managers and Open players that assisted in officiating these games.
Across the weekend we saw some fantastic games and definitely some talented young players and potential future Australian Emu's in action. There was a great atmosphere at the grounds and everyone seemed to have enjoyed themselves. We went through more than 3000L of water across the weekend and plenty of ice and sunscreen.
A huge thanks to all our Affiliates that work tirelessly to ensure that the kids have a great time and have all the equipment, uniforms, water and food they need.
