2021 Junior State Championships presented by Go For 2 & 5

The 2021 Junior State Championships presented by Go For 2 & 5 are fast approaching on Saturday 27th November and Sunday 28th November at UWA Sports Park, McGillivray Ave, Mt Claremont.

This year we have a record number of teams entered with a total of 71 teams from across the Perth Metro area. It is fantastic to see such growth on the back of our Affiliates conducting junior programs at their clubs. We hope that this growth will continue well into the future and we hope to see some of our regional Affiliates at next years event.  

As we have so many teams coming to the event it is important to know some details about the venue. Please ensure that you park in marked bays only, TFWA will not pay any parking infringements that you may receive so please adhere to the signs at the ground. There will be plenty of tasty food available from our amazing food trucks as well as a coffee van and of course soft serve ice cream in the "State Champs Village". There will be a large shade sail with some picnic tables to sit and enjoy your food & beverages. Please note that this is an alcohol free event. Strictly no alcohol permitted at the venue. 

All Affiliates have been allocated a space in the giant Team Marquees. This is where the teams can meet up and leave their gear when they go to play. Spectators are advised that it will be warm and while there are some trees at the venue they are not everywhere. We recommend bringing an umbrella and chair or rug to sit on. You can bring pop up marquees but these must be safely secured and taken down over night. They must also not block any access points for ambulance and contractors vehicles. Spectator areas are highlighted on the map below in orange. 

The U8 & 10's will be playing on the fields marked A - F. There is a great embankment for spectators to set up for the day and there are plenty of large trees to provide shade throughout the day as well. There will also be portable toilets near those modified fields as well as in the club rooms. The food trucks, coffee van and soft serve ice cream will be located where the pink area is shaded. We ask spectators to please remain 5m clear of any sidelines or try lines. This is for player and spectator safety and we will ask you to move if you are in an unsafe area.
