TFV has hosted several big events over the last week, including State Cup, Junior State Cup, School Championships, as well as the conclusion of the VSTFL Competition. It’s been such a big week, we haven’t had a chance to tell you about it, until now. TFV March Madness, we called it. 5 competitions, 8 days.

Indomie TFV State Cup

Elwood Park played host to the 2021 Indomie TFV State Cup. 39 teams across Men’s, Women’s and Mixed competition did battle over the course of the day. Despite the threat of rain early, the weather cleared up and bright sunshine broke out as the day progressed. Despite some challenges around wet fields, a great time was had and some scintillating touch was on display.

This Girl Can Week coincided with the event, and it was great to see 2 sides of Switch program participants take to the field as part of the Women's competition. Infact, the TFV State Cup Women's division was larger than the Men's, for the first time.

Sincere thanks to all the referees who assisted on the day, including two who travelled from South Australia and two from Tasmania. Thanks also to Ken Golden, travelling from Queensland to assist on the weekend. And congratulations to all those referees who received upgrades, and we hope you continue your refereeing journey.
