Mark

It is with sadness that Touch Football ACT will be saying farewell to Mark Barnes.  Mark has resigned from his position as State Manager effective cob Thursday February 25 to take up a position with Cricket NSW as Cricket Manager.  Mark will be working with schools and clubs to drive participation and grow the profile of the game here in the ACT and NSW.

Mark has made a valuable contribution to the sport within the ACT.  Mark spent his early days working with schools and developing our junior competitions. Whilst in this role Mark turned around a decline in junior participation and built a relationship with the Woden School, delivering Touch Football Specialised. Mark then stepped into the Pathways and Events Coordinator role.  In this position he was instrumental in the development of our affiliates that now participate in the NSW Touch pathways and events.

In September last year Mark was promoted to the position of State Manager, a role he has thrived in.

The community and especially the office are grateful for all the work Mark has put in to the development of the sport within the ACT and will sorely miss him.

We all wish you the best of luck Mark with the next step in your career.
