TFA has suspended community Touch Football competitions

Touch Football Australia (TFA), New South Wales Touch Association (NSWTA) and Queensland Touch Football (QTF) have taken the decision to implement a suspension of all community Touch Football competitions until Monday 4^th May 2020 (suspension active as of Tuesday 24^th March).

TFA is committed to playing our part in ensuring an effective community-wide response to COVID-19. Throughout the crisis, TFA has been guided by government health authorities. The government health experts have access to all the information necessary to assess the full range of consequences of major policy decisions and TFA has been reliant on this information to inform its decision-making process. TFA Chief Executive Officer Jamie O’Connor advised Sport Australia of the decision to suspend competitions today.

Consistent with our approach to date, we continue to monitor the risk to our community, and it is on this basis that we have collectively decided to implement a temporary suspension of all community competitions. This shutdown affects all community competitions nationally and takes effect from 24^th March 2020.

We will continue to monitor this situation closely and will update members as soon as more information becomes available. Be assured we will do everything we can to start playing Touch Football again. In the meantime, stay safe and well.
