

Kids from all across Sydney, and particularly the Sutherland Shire, descended on Remondis Stadium, Cronulla on Friday, 16 January to take part in the Junior Touch Football Clinic as a prelude to the 2015 Youth Trans Tasman Series.
Hosted by Touch Football Australia, New South Wales Touch Association and the Cronulla Sharks, the clinic participants were treated to a morning of skills and drills, before finishing off with a games of Touch Football.
There were many special guests in attendance for the event, including Australian Touch Football representatives, Jess McCall and Rob Nakhla, who made sure the kids were having a blast and learning all there is to know about being an elite athlete in the sport.
Also representing the TFA High Performance Program was Matt Tope, who also works as a Development Officer for the NRL. Tope was joined by other Cronulla Sharks Staff as well as NRL Stars – Andrew Fifita, Anthony Tupou and Tinirau Arona.
Clinic participant, Katie, 9, spoke on how excited she was to get to run around with the Australian players, as well as being on the same field that Australia and New Zealand were going to play on later that day.
Chris, 12, loved all the new gear he got, as well as meeting some of the Sharks players.
McCall, who plays for the Wollongong Devils in the Vawdon Cup, had a great time, noting that it’s great to interact with the young players, who might even play for Australia in the future.
