It doesn’t matter how young or old you are, playing in a State of Origin series sends shivers down your spine.

The two foes in Australian sport – New South Wales and Queensland – will renew their rivalry when the touch football State of Origin series begins on Friday.

Fourteen divisions will be action ranging from the under 20s to the new category, men’s 55s.

This is the first time in State of Origin history a 55s division has been played.

Don’t be fooled about the age of the players participating in the men’s 55s, these players are capable of producing a stellar series.

The men’s 50s series in 2012 was won by Queensland 2-1 with two touchdowns between the two teams.

The New South Wales team will be coached by Bruce Ager and Queensland will be mentored by Hank Solien.

The first game will tap-off at 4.25pm on Friday, September 19.

The second game will be held at 10.45am on Saturday, September 20, and the third game will follow at 3.20pm.
