Two-time defending X-Blades National Youth Championships premiers New South Wales Combined High Schools (NSWCHS) will lock horns with Queensland Secondary Schools Touch (QSST) in the women’s final at 2.05pm.

NSWCHS were pushed all the way by their semi-final opponents Central Queensland Bulls, 7-5, while QSST had a comfortable 8-1 win over South West Queensland Swans.

The Bulls looked like causing the upset of the tournament when they were leading 5-3 midway through the second half.

But NSWCHS came back in the final 10 minutes to post four unanswered touchdowns.

QSST’s first half performance set-up their semi-final win over the Swans.

QSST took a 5-0 lead into the half-time huddle and scored three more in the second stanza. Ashleigh Kearney bagging a hat-trick.

It will be a crackerjack of a final as both teams remain undefeated in the tournament.

The Bulls and the Swans will meet each other in the Community Final at 10.45am.
