Northern Territory and the Western Tigers have advanced to the quarter-finals of the boys division at the 2012 X-Blades National Youth Championships at Port Macquarie.
NT and the Tigers finished third and fourth respectively in Pool B.
The Tigers will play against defending 18's Boys champions Queensland Secondary Schools Touch (QSST) and NT take on Central Queensland Bulls.
QSST won Pool A and remain undefeated throughout the preliminary rounds after they won against Sunshine Coast Pineapples 12-0 and the match of the morning, against Central Queensland Bulls 10-7.
The Bulls finished second in Pool A on 26 points with six wins from their seven matches.
South Queensland Sharks were third following their two wins this morning – 12-4 over New South Wales Combined Independent Schools (NSWCIS) and 5-4 over Touch New Zealand under 15's.
NSWCIS wrapped up fourth spot with a nail-biting 7-5 win over South Australia Heat.
Sunshine Coast Pineapples’ victory 5-3 victory over Victoria was enough for the Queensland side to secure fifth spot in Pool A.
Victoria finished sixth and the Heat were one spot behind.
NSW Combined Catholic Colleges remained unbeaten in Pool B and finished on top of the table.
They defeated the Western Tigers 13-8 and ACT Pirates 15-5 in their two matches this morning.
Joining them, NT and Western Tigers in the quarter-finals will be NSWCHS who finished second.
NSWCHS defeated NT but went down to Touch New Zealand under 17s 7-4, while Western Tigers were beaten by NSWCCC and Touch New Zealand under 17s 6-4.
ACT Pirates and Tasmania finished fifth and sixth respectively. The Pirates defeated Tasmania 7-5 in the final pool match.
NSW Touch Association Development finished seventh after the judiciary panel took all their competition points away for fielding an unregistered player.
The two Touch New Zealand teams played very well with their under 15s team recording three wins from seven matches and their under 17s losing one match all tournament.
Touch New Zealand are an invitational team and are not awarded competition points.
In the quarter-finals QSST take on Western Tigers, NSWCHS meet South Queensland Sharks, NSWCCC go up against NSWCIS and the Bulls play NT.
In the play-off matches Sunshine Coast Pineapples take on Tasmania, ACT meet Victoria, South Australia hook up with Touch New Zealand under 17s and NSWTA Development go head-to-head with Touch New Zealand under 15s.
