New South Wales Combined High Schools and South West Queensland Swans remain undefeated in Pool A of the girls division after the second day of the X-Blades National Youth Championships (NYC) at Port Macquarie.

But that won’t remain for much longer as the two teams collide at 3pm tomorrow – the final round for the division.

NSWCHS scored 28 touchdowns and conceded two in their two matches today.

Australian women’s opens player Ashleigh Quinlan was again one of NSWCHS’ best players of the day.

For the Swans, although they haven’t racked up cricket-like scores as NSWCHS have, they’ve been getting the job done.

They defeated Western Tigers 5-4 and ran out 5-0 winners against NSW Touch Development.

Brisbane City Cobras, Sunshine Coast Pineapples and NSW Combined Independent Schools are all within striking distance of each other as they eye off third spot on the third day of competition.

The Tigers and Victoria will be searching for their first win of the tournament.

Touch New Zealand under 15s won against NSWCIS but were beaten by the Cobras.

Queensland Secondary Schools Touch have confirmed their spot on top of Pool B with resounding wins on day two.

QSST defeated Tasmania 20-0, Northern Territory 16-2 and Touch New Zealand under 17s 9-3.

NSW Combined Catholic Colleges were surprise 3-2 losers against Central Queensland Bulls.

That loss means NSWCCC will be fighting it out with ACT Pirates and the Bulls for second spot.

NSW Touch Development can slide into the top three, depending on results going their way tomorrow.

South Australia Heat, Northern Territory and Tasmania will most likely contest the playoffs for the minor placings.

Touch New Zealand under 17s had a draw, a loss and a win on day two.
