Phil Smith was one of the founding members and the first Life Member of Touch Football Australia. He is regarded as the driving force behind the concept and implementation of the first National Championships. This award was first instigated at the 2007 World Cup in recognition of Phil’s vision and contribution to elite Touch in Australia. This medal is awarded to those considered to have shown the most passion, enthusiasm, dedication, commitment and Australian spirit during an international event. All members of an Australian Open/Masters touring party are eligible to nominate.
