One of the central operational tasks that development staff undertake on a day-to-day basis is competition administration and management. Not only do our national state development staff organize and manage local, regional, state, national and international tournaments; they are also readily available to provide administration assistance to affiliate volunteers.
Touch Football Australia has partnered with Sports Technology Group (SportsTG), one of Australia’s leading online networks for grassroots sport. SportsTG is the provider of Touch Football Australia’s website and competition management system, Touch Football Online. Touch Football Online is a program that assists administrators in the creation and maintenance of a competition; from the development of the team lists and playing fixtures, to the entering of results and updating the ladder. Through its online capabilities, Touch football Online (TFO) allows users to upload competition fixtures, results, ladders and player details, such as touchdowns scored. As a majority of competition administrators are volunteers, the time and effort saved through the use of this program is invaluable.
The following is available to affiliated associations and clubs at no cost:
- Standard Website
- Touch Football Online
- Competition Management
- Membership Management
- Online Registrations and Payments
TFO allows participants to register themselves and their team in various competitions, it also because an online database of player and team information. This becomes an extremely useful tool for competition administrations as it eliminates the need for hard copy registration forms, which can be lost, and it also saves the user many hours in entering data onto separate programs.
The registration process also includes an online member database. Affiliates can add, edit or delete players directly from their secure area of the database. In addition to constitutional requirements, TFA needs this information as part of covering affiliates and individuals with insurance through the National Insurance Scheme.
As the constituted national organisation for Touch Football, TFA has subsequent requirements for affiliated members as stipulated in the TFA Constitution. Clause 15 of the constitution outlines details about how an affiliate remains recognised by TFA and simple requirements to remain compliant. A copy of the full Constitution and Strategic Plan can be found on the TFA website.
TFO helps affiliates maintain their organisation’s competitions and payments/financial details, but also track member data and facilitate more effective engagement and communication with members. Regardless of the size or scope of your affiliate, TFO can build new efficiencies into your business processes (e.g. vastly reduced paperwork), saving you time and enabling you to manage your competition information the most effective way.
