Our community is fortunate to have people that give their time to ensure nearly 700,000 participants have somewhere to enjoy our great game. This comes with great personal sacrifice and commitment above and beyond what many of those enjoying the sport could comprehend.
Touch Football Australia endeavors to ensure our volunteers are supported, valued, encouraged and developed to fulfill meaningful roles within Touch Football. As a large participant sport, volunteers provide a critical role, which includes building organisational capacity, inclusiveness and innovation at every level from the local associations through to the national body.
There are important benefits to both Touch Football and to our volunteers. Importantly volunteers contribute to the sport through the provision of their time, skills, expertise and feedback, which enables the organisation to pursue programs and activities that benefit the broader community.
Touch Football Australia have introduced the Volunteer Medal to thank those volunteers for their contribution to the sport. Volunteers are now to be recognised at any time throughout the year as per the below criteria & process:
» Outline the achievements of the nominee.
» Describe the impact the nominee has had on the community and organisation.
» Explain why the nominee deserves this recognition.
» Nominations can be completed by anyone at any time.
» Nominations are to be completed through the online form found here.
» Recipients will be recognised monthly with medals sent to the State Office or Affiliate/Club so recognition can occur through local distribution channels.
