The 2015 Federation of International Touch (FIT) World Cup was a resounding success for Australia, winning eight of the nine divisions on offer. This continued Australiaís dominance of the event, having won every World Cup title since the eventís inception in 1988.
The 2015 Touch World Cup was the largest Touch World Cup ever, featuring 25 nations who competed across nine divisions - Menís Open, Womenís Open, Mixed Open, Womenís 27ís, Menís 30ís, Menís 35ís, Menís 40ís, Menís 50ís and Senior Mixed.
90 teams took part including six new nations, with the first teams ever from South America (Chile) and the Middle East (Middle East Touch), participating.
The Touch Football World Cup was held from Wednesday, 29 April until Sunday, 3 May at Coffs Harbourís beautiful C.ex International Stadium. This was the third running of the event on Australian soil, and ninth World Cup in total.
All eyes will now turn to Malaysia, the hosts of the 2019 FIT Touch World Cup.
