Chair - Anita Hagarty
Anita has been involved as a player, referee, coach and executive member of Touch Football for over 30 years. Anita has spent over 10 years as the technical director for North Queensland Touch and served on the Board of Queensland Touch from 2009-2012. In 2012 she was elected to the Touch Football Australia Board. She is currently the Director of two companies that operate in the Human Resource and Recruitment space and also the company director of companies that operate in the food services sector.
In 2007 Anita won Townsville Business Women's Business Excellence Award and has recently been invited to join the Townsville Hospital Foundation Board. She has worked tirelessly for charity the Cure Starts Now, a foundation that raises funds for research into childhood brain cancers.
North Queensland born and raised, Anita has a tremendous passion for the sport of Touch Football and the area she lives in. Having spent her working career across corporates, multi-nationals and her own business she brings a unique set of well-rounded business skills to the TFA Board. Anita is currently back at James Cook University undertaking another degree in Political Science. She is very privileged to be currently serving as the first female Chair of TFA.
Director - Michael Rush
Michael has been involved in the sport of Touch Football in several roles, including President of the then ACT Touch Association for four years, and a Board member for eight.
Michael is a Canberra resident and a Programme Manager in the public service. He was elected to the TFA Board in 2006. He was Chair of the organisation for over seven years and has recently moved into a Director role.
Director - Kevin 'Jim' Yeo
Jim has been involved in Touch Football for over 25 years. Jim is a Level 6 referee (retired), a Level 4 referee coach and course presenter, and is a former member of the National Referee Panel. Jim has also been awarded with Life Membership from Mudgee Touch, Hornets Touch and NSW Touch Associations. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree and is a semi-retired public accountant.
Director - Barry McNamara
Barry has an extensive history of involvement in Touch Football as both a player and a referee over the past 22 years. Barry is a Level 6 referee who has attended the past three World Cups and was the Leading Senior Referee at the 2007 World Cup. In total he has represented Australia as a referee on over 65 occasions. Barry still actively referees at a local, regional, state and national level and brings a wealth of practical experience to his role on the Board.
Barry holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is Managing Director of his own management consultancy.
Director - Todd Greenberg
Todd has close to 18 years' experience in Australian sport and is currently Chief Executive Officer of the National Rugby League (NRL).
In 2014, Todd joined the Touch Football Australia (TFA) Board of Management as part of the strategic alliance between the NRL and TFA. Todd won the prestigious NSW Sports Administrator of the Year Award in 2009, and has been an Australia Day Ambassador since 2010, helping to promote the celebration of Australia Day at community events throughout NSW.
Born and raised in Sydney, Todd's professional career highlights an understanding across a variety of venue, sports and governing body structures. His experience working across multiple elite sports coupled with significant stadia management knowledge has created a well-rounded skill set of administrative, operational, marketing, commercial and high performance competencies.
Director - Neil Collins
Neil has a great passion for Touch Football and has been involved in the sport as an official, coach and player for 34 years.
He is a Life Member of Touch Football Western Australia (TFWA) and Southern Districts Touch Association. He served as Chair of TFWA State Council for a number of years and was a council member for over 10 years.
Neil has been the Director of Coaching for TFWA and as a coach he has been an outstanding developer of junior and senior players with a large majority going on to represent at state, and some at national, level. He was awarded a Coaching Foundation of WA award in recognition of his coaching service. He maintains a high level knowledge of sport in schools, and in particular Touch Football, and understands how to develop strong relationships with parents and children.
Neil has a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Master of Educational Leadership. He is currently an Independent School Principal and through his experience as a board member of two independent schools he has developed strong skills in strategic analysis, planning and financial management.
